During the ongoing third and final Test in the three-match series between India and South Africa, the visitors lost a review after Ajinkya Rahane decided to go for it, and the replays showed a spike while the ball passed his bat. Rahane was dismissed for nine runs in the first innings.

Team India won the toss, and opted to bat first in the third and final Test of the three-match series in Cape Town. Ajinkya Rahane, who walked out to bat after the dismissal of Pujara, wasted a review as he decided to go for it, and the replays clearly showed a spike while the ball passed the right-hander's bat. Rahane was dismissed for nine runs in the first innings of the Cape Town Test.
