Australia Champions defeated the India Champions by 4 wickets in the high-scoring affair in the 10th fixture of the World Championship of Legends 2025. Callum Ferguson played a sensational and unbeaten knock of 70 runs off just 38 balls to help Australia Champions chase the target easily.

Aussie skipper Brett Lee won the toss and asked the India Champions to bat first. India Champions’ opening pair of Robin Uthappa and Shikhar Dhawan stitched a fiery 57-run opening partnership in just 5.1 overs, with the run rate of more than 10. Uthappa scored 21-ball 37, with three fours and as many sixes, alongside Dhawan’s 91 (60), with a strike rate of 151.66. Later in the death overs, Yusuf Pathan also smashed an unbeaten knock of 52 (23). Dan Christian registered the figures of 2/34 in four overs, alongside a wicket each picked by Lee and D’Arcy Short.

While chasing the target, Australia Champions lost four wickets for just 65 runs in 7.5 overs as the star spin duo of Piyush Chawla and Harbhajan Singh ran through Australia’s top-order. Lynn (25 off just 10 balls) and Short’s 15-ball 20 were the only two notable contributions in the top order of the Aussie Champs. Furthermore, the pair of Dan Christian and Callum Ferguson made a decisive 90-run stand for the fifth wicket to bring Australia back in the game. It ended when Christian’s knock ended at the individual score of 39 (28), getting caught by Pawan Negi off R Vinay Kumar on the first ball of the 17th over. However, Ferguson stood strong there in the middle, playing an unbeaten 70 runs to help his side chase the target in just 19.5 overs, scoring 207/6. With this win, Australia Champs registered their second consecutive win in the tournament.

Ferguson won the ‘Player of the Match’ award for his brilliant and decisive knock, which turned the game in the Aussie Champs’ favour.
