Rajesh Narwal’s last raid of the match fetched Jaipur Pink Panthers a point and an honourable 21-21 draw against Dabang Delhi at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex in Delhi on Friday. The win takes their tally to 28 points while that of the hosts becomes 10 with both having played 12 matches.

When an all-out loomed large on his side early in the second session it was C. Arun who came up with three super tackles on two of the best rival raiders to avert danger though temporarily. He had Kashiling Adake twice and the pointless Surjeet Singh once with the help of Rohit Rana. Those vital points seemed to have pepped up the Jaipur Pink Panthers’ boys to go up 14-12 but the inevitable all-out in the 31st minute to again forced them to hand over the initiative to Dabang Delhi K. C.

The hosts even extended the lead to 19-14 courtesy Selvamani K who ended with five raid points for the match. But a bonus point followed by a super raid in consecutive raids by the all-rounder Ran Singh, who surprisingly did not have a single tackle point kept his team’s chances alive.

Ultimately for Dabang Delhi K.C. Kashiling Aadke and Surjeet Singh fell short of playing to their full potential. But they can be satisfied with the performance of youngsters Anil Kumar and Sandeep Dhull who with four tackle points each showed they are men for the future. It must have been a satisfying result for Jaipur Pink Panthers as they were without the services of stalwarts like Jasvir Singh, Sonu Narwal and Captain Navneet Gautam. They will remain in sixth place as both Dabang Delhi K. C. and Bengaluru Bulls will face a tall order to overhaul them and even if they win their last two matches they may at the most go ahead of Telugu Titans who are above them with 33 points.
